Here is our monthly September Playlist, Head Roll, Spirit Guide (image courtesy of Andy Kehoe). Notable tracks(*) include the M83 Jackson Remix (which is off of the Run Into Flowers EP) and the Bob Marley and MGMT mashup by Xaphoon Jones. Julian Casablancas has a new track that is a must, 11th Dimension. He has woven the otherwise awkward new wave, electro pop and rock genres and produced a track interestingly fresh and unique.
KiD CuDi's new track with MGMT and Ratatat is a good one. The DJ Fashen Mix of Red Hot Chili Pepper and Kanye West and KiD Cudi's Up, Up and Away are both A+. The rest rate within the 7.5 - 8 out of 10 range so there aren't any misses here, only hits. Hope you enjoy this Monthly Playlist. -JDawn

This November 17th marks the return of Malmo, Sweden's Fredrik with their new album Trilogi. This sophomore effort is has more in-depth take on themes like social realities and subconscious geography. The melodies are more serpentine and the textures decidedly darker. But Fredrik's warm, sensitive lead voice and operatic choir work still lends the material the same comforting elegance as on the debut.
Apparently all of us have seen/heard/read what was one of the highlights of this year's MTV VMA's. Now that Kanye has made a fool of himself, he also has made Taylor Swift, more popular than she already is. That's real smooth Kanye. Smooth.
