I've heard the original and the remix is waaay better than it is, I must agree with TMTPC. These good-looking five piece electro band from London is a newly added fave to my list. New Young Pony Club slightly reminds us of Peaches, don't you agree? The track is the best in this list--now give it some love.

The 1st track from Kanye West's upcoming album Good Ass Job is circling all over the interweb, and this rocking chant of a song called Power featuring Dwele is making waves. This egomaniac got many noses up in flames with his devil-may-care angst, but his music certainly benefits from it.

There are a lot of references in terms of the tune, and I noticed Gorillaz' "Dirty Harry" mixed up with a manic drum beat. A lot of people would definitely sing with him if the song is performed live, no doubt about it, and this should be a comeback from his 808s and Heartbreak album and the unforgettable VMA conflict with Taylor Swift. I was thinking he might actually badmouth South Park in the track but sadly, disappointed he didn't notice the fishsticks joke and mentioned only SNL and their skits. Anyhow, how did you think Kanye West do in this track?

Stateless - Bloodstream

B.o.B has gone a long way and his successful album The Adventures of Bobby Ray and currently # 2 in the Billboard 100 chart, his track "Airplanes" with Hayley Williams of Paramore are a testament to that hard work. And I've read of MGMT's refusal to perform Kids in the UK upon request, so now, in somewhat an impromptu session, B.o.B performs it with a live band. His fun and upbeat version of the Oracular Spectacular track and B.o.B.'s notable high energy is the best thing of the track. Listen to it below.

These musicians who I quote unquote here, happen to be inspired by Aztec Camera, have adopted for a more pop approach to their new album. Mystery Jets keep joyous harmonies and absolute fun in their music that this band remains a special place in my heart. Young Love featured folkster Laura Marling and though it may not be as well lauded Young Folks, it really gave some tough competition! Check out the video below, too. Have a happy Sunday everyone!

Here's the video of the track, where the duo comments of the fun they had working with kids. Sounds a little maternal to you? Not to me! Anyway, the Danger Mouse produced album is something to watch out for, and this track specially drew a lot of attention from me.

I don't know if any of you are familiar of this artist, but Nomak is a spitfire of talent. Nomak is a Japanese hip-hop producer, he extensively uses instruments such as piano, flute, saxophone, and acoustic guitar as a melodic basis for his music. Nomak has released the albums: Combine (2005), Wonderin’ View (2006), Fantastical View (2006), Eternal View (2007), Calm (2007), and the remix album Recalm (2008). His latest album is called Muziq and Foto (2009). And I'm telling you guys, his work is superb. Check out his High Grade Standard track below. Download it if you dig.

Nomak - High Grade Standard

M.I.A. returns with a new track, There's Space For All Dat I See. The track title befits the whole vibe of the song. A bunch of synths and more evenly spaced out rhythms that's a little more different than what we are used to hear from her. She is releasing a new album sometime this year, one that sounds like "Gucci Mane meets Animal Collective".

There had been way too many remarkable songs to fit into a top 10, heck, even a top 25 list for me. So here, I'm giving you a peek into the colossal (to exaggerate it a bit) number of songs that shook, ripped and sewn together my year. 2009 bore witness to the influx of exquisitely created music from an expansive and diverse pool of genres. Indie, rap/ hiphop power reigned supreme in the charts and year-end lists. These songs may not be what you'll rank as your best 100, but I guarantee you, these are DEFINITELY worth having in your player. I'm not sure if I'll be able to post something new til next year, so to be sure... SEE YOU THIS 2010! Thanks for a great 2009 folks!

As promised, here is the official soundtrack of the 4th season of Grey's Anatomy. Other than Grey's Anatomy, other hit shows like Gossip Girl, Chuck, Fringe, Glee, Dollhouse, One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty, House and many more. You've got to give a hand to the music supervisors of these shows for their success. The music is not perfect, but it's certainly entertaining. So I saw the HBO Pay-Per-View of Pacquiao VS Cotto Firepower and it was certainly worth the paying for. It lasted 12 rounds and obviously Manny Pacquiao won. Damn, Cotto was bigger but Pacman just got the rhythm and the moves. "Manny Pacquiao is the saviour of world boxing. He is at present the pound-for-pound boxing king," (Time Magazine) and now that he won against Cotto, he's the ONLY 7 time world champion in different weights divisions. What more do I need to say?

I have recently seen the Gossip Girl episode which featured Anya Marina's cover of T.I.'s hit - Whatever You Like. I'm afraid T.I. had to take the backseat because Anya Marina did a heck of a job in this cover. It's a big help that indie artist's get a boost with all these popular TV shows on air featuring their music - like Grey's Anatomy, The Hills, How I Met Your Mother, and a lot more. Making a cover of your song is a good form of flattery. Take is as a compliment T.I., even if the cover sounded a tad better than the original. Look out for Anya Marina's future work with Paolo Nuttini.
