c.) Don't know who the hell Arcade Fire is (to which, I must reckon, a depravity)
d.) Want to stay on the safe side and didn't download the leak

...then you must catch NPR's full stream of the album. Tomorrow is D'Day for the release of "The Suburbs" and I personally am hoping the album will do well. On the top 10 list are Indie favorites Grizzly Beat, The National and dominating the chart is Vampire Weekend. NPR did all of the doubters a favor by offering everyone to have a preview of the album, and if you are having some second thoughts about buying THe Suburbs, then you better check out the site HERE.

So much for that. I've seen some statistics from the indie music ticket market on the concert sales based on ticket prices and it's not looking good for The Arcade Fire. They ranked last among a group of other indie faves like MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, The Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses and The National. But I do admire the fact that they're not robbing their fans who want to see them play live. More points. Maybe the numbers will look up later this half of the year. Vampire Weekend seem to enjoy their fandom and upping price those tickets.

“Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)” is previewed from Arcade Fire’s new album The Suburbs, expected August 2 via Merge. A lot of buzz that this record has gotten out of its cage but I say do what's best and take a bite off this new track. Although this album does pale in comparison to the highly acclaimed Funeral, there are also good ones from this record like Month of May, Ready to Start and We Used to Wait, among others. Kill some time with these previously released tracks because these certainly don't disappoint. Count that these tracks come packed with a fetching album cover makes it all the worth buying. I dig.

So far, I've been loving Arcade Fire's new album The Suburbs, especially the title track The Suburbs. There were mixed reviews of The Suburbs track, and same goes for Month of May but I am drop dead, head-over feet, smitten with their new album. I wasn't able to properly give a review to their track The Suburbs though, but all I can say is that its muy perfecto. Although I'm embarrassed to say that I've heard their music about 2 years ago and have not seen them live (since I am obviously halfway around the world), I definitely am a big time fan of the group. Long road trips with my family with Arcade Fire in the background always rouses candid and stimulating conversations. I've had good memories with their music playing in the background and I think this may have been a factor as to why I love this group so much. Anyhow, back to the review.

Ready to Start is definitely a fun in a bob-your-head and blast-off kinda way. While I was listening to the song I literally had done a bit of those moves in Breakfast Club when they were all dancing and Blender was really getting his groove on and all. Okay, not a pretty picture but you get the point. Not too hyped up but easy to groove to. We Used to Wait stimulates the listener with the affable piano played throughout the whole track. I'm pretty sure that piano tune is evocative of their Dark Was the Night track, Lenin. You think so too, do you?

As they say, in a sound, its as if they never left. I didn't like Arcade Fire's The Suburbs at first and Month of May's music sounds a bit unreconstructed. But the music grew on me, and now I really believe every person should give a track a chance once they dislike it at first listen. You may never know, it might be the song of your life. No really, I'M NOT KIDDING.

Anyway, I've added 2 other notable tracks from them, my ultimo paborito Burning Bridges and a Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover of Maps. Here's a wonderful review from Said the Gramophone. You should visit their site often, some class A stuff there.
