GOSSIP GIRL: GG Cast Goes Back In Time

What is up with the Periodic-inspired costumes?


Is the Gossip Girl cast fed up with all the absurd labels they wear on the show that they opted to go PERIODIC?


I know many of us will disagree on this. But worry not, it's part of an episode for the new season.
{It’s a My Fair Lady reference with a Eliza Dolittle pre (Blair) & post (Serena) make-over.}

Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester go back in time as they step out on-set in period costumes in New York City on Thursday.

Blake’s costume looks way more chic and sophisticated than Leighton’s. Poor Leighton looks like a ragged Mary Poppins!


The second season of Gossip Girl starts off with a bang @ 8PM ET/PT on Monday, September 1.

FASHION: Henri Bendel's windows gets a little help from our favorite frenemies




The new season of Gossip Girl starts on September 1, but if you can't hold out for two more weeks, there's a little relief in sight...


Next Sunday, August 24, Henri Bendel reveals their latest Manhattan windows, designed by GG costume designer Eric Daman.  The clothes in the windows are inspired by Blair, Serena, and Jenny, ensuring that even if you can't join the girls and their evil (but oh so fun) plots at prep school, you can still do a take on their wardrobe.

You can also just run to a vintage shop and buy a few headbands and some lip gloss, which suits the show's signature pearls-and-Converse look just fine...

PHOTOS:Gossip Girl Gets Vandalized



Earlier this week Gossip Girl's new ad campaign was revealed, just begging to be reworked by the infamous subway ad artist (or anyone with scissors and a distaste for teen dramedies). It didn't take long, as a reader sent us the above photo, from the 23rd Street C and E station, taken this morning.


God bless the defacers of public advertising.


Maybe if there were kiosks/lamposts where people were legally allowed to post things without getting a massive fine there would be less ad-defacement, graffiti, etc...


This show is my *secret guilty pleasure and I take stride in it. Although I do admit of not liking this poster of the incoming series. It's just too...ugly.
But kudos to those who make vandalism! I saw this other one one the net of a Heroes Vandal. Grand Street L-train platform, tonight.  This took effort.  Tell me you wouldn’t watch a show about prostitutes with super powers who save the world.

TV: Gossip Girl's Season 2 Spoilers

Spoilers have emerged from the first Hamptons-based episode of The CW’s delicious teen soap “Gossip Girl” which kicks off its sophomore year on September 1....





The episode featuring a shirtless shot of Chace Crawford’s character Nate Archibald in his underwear will be filled with steamy, but secretive summer sex. Hahaha. Can you say YUM?

Nate turns into a boy toy as he begins a secret affair with a married older woman named Catherine Mason. But as the couple get together for yet another hot appointment of afternoon sex, Catherine panics at the sound of her huisband’s car pulling into driveway.


Meanwhile, Dan Humphrey(Penn Badgley) gets a little make-out action of his own as he seduces a beautiful girl at the library where he assists Sebastian Harris, a man described by the writers as a “literary lion.” But the apprenticeship comes to an abrupt end, when Dan lets Sebastian down.Okay... Moving on now...


Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Dan Humphrey's (Penn Badgely) relationship is ruined and both go to the Hamptons single. Nate goes to the Hamptons, knowing that his love, Serena, is there singleOMG!!


Lily and Bart goes to the Hamptons and gets a surprise as they aslo find--who else--but Rufus, there. Lily ends up sleeping with Rufus but this time, Bart Bass finds out.


Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) goes official with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) but keeps this secret from Gossip Girl. Although the two are together, some habits are hard to break and Chuck continues to push Blair's buttons--canceling a trip to Tuscany, frolicking with topless tanned ladies on the beach. The whole nine yards we expect from Mr. Bass. Wonder how their relationship would turn out.


Dan, still in love with Serena, but finds out on Gossip Girl her summer fling. Dan tells Vanessa leaving her heat broken.



Lily wants to fix her marriage but too late, as Bart pushes the divorce.



Serena and Nate are officially a couple. Jenny still has a crush on Nate but has no idea about Nate and Serena's relationship.


And they are shooting for 24 episodes so Gossip Girl fans can sate their thirst for this scandalous show.


The folks at The CW have just unleashed a whole slew of short new promo vids to tease for the upcoming second season of Gossip Girl … here is the promo vid titled Mother Chucker:

TV: Gossip Girls having a dandy time


By the looks of these images, I'm pretty much liking the next season of Gossip Girl. Uhm, granted that once the cameras are off they are probably throwing tantrums and diva-ness left and right, but while they're on they are such smiling, happy people! INF Daily caught up with Leighton, Blake, Chace and Ed on set yesterday in Long Island. I am soo liking the dress Leighton is wearing. Why-oh-why is Blake Lively looking drab in the pic? Serena van der Woodsen was suposed to be gorgeous, fun and visually attractive and HOTTER gal than Blair but by the looks of it, the trophy goes to Blair.

Gossip Girl Spin-off in the works

Rumor Of "Gossip Girl" Spinoff Sets Blogosphere Ablaze With Vague Truthiness







Yesterday (well, last week), hundreds of thousands of plugged-in Gossip Girl fans got their hopes raised and almost immediately dashed on news of a possible Gossip Girl boarding school spinoff, focusing on Jenny Humphrey, the character played by Taylor Momsen. Turns out that's not the plan at all; except for the part where it totally is.


As they say on Pushing Daisies: the facts are these:






-- Actually, claim sources within the CW, they totally would do a spinoff if the mothership does as well as they hope next year


To which I say: duh? At this point, the industry is so devoid of ideas, we wouldn't be surprised to hear of the networks fighting over an adaptation of the Iron Man toys that come with a Junior Whopper at Burger King. Of course they're gonna do this. (Assuming the CW makes it through the next year, of course.) CW is so up-in-its ass in throwing rumors in the air causing riveting responses from fans and failing (i hope not intentionally) to attest to what they started in the first place.
