Levi's Pioneer Session : The Revival Recordings Release features pioneering musicians today covering one of the best track from the best musicians of yore. Recently featured are those of Nas covering Slick Rick's "Hey Young World", The Swell Season covering Candi Staton's "Young Hearts Run Free", She & Him covering Rick Nelson's "Fools Rush In" and Dirty Projectors on Bob Dylan's "I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine."

: Our Favorite Artists and Their Favorite Love Songs


I don't have a lot to say about this album compilation from Starbucks but AMAZING! There is an eclectic mix of genres from country to techno and these noteworthy artists did justice to their favorite love songs. Most if not all versions of the originals are acoustic and listening to these tracks just give any venue a coffeehouse vibe (pun intended). Audio quality is great, so nothing to worry about. Get a taste of the best tracks from the album (the one in bold).

GUESS WHO: Which Indie "Hitmakers" got Engaged?


I didn't even know they were dating. 

So when I heard this, my world shattered. It's bad enough that my soulmate, Ben, and I are continents apart. Jesus, now he's hooking up with some B-class trash? Okay, that was my alter ego talking. Kidding aside, I was really confused and thought of correcting Stereogum that they got their details wrong, cause the last time I heard of Ben was that he was dating Jenny Lewis (check her out in DCFC's Video I Will Possess Your Heart).Just shows how updated I am. Haha. Anyway, cheers to them! Zooey was pretty good in Elf and those episodes in Weeds. I can't imagine what talented children these two will have.
