TEDDYBEARS: Sweden's Badass Bears

I think I'm falling in love with Sweden even more. Lemme see, the country exports indie acts with lasting talent like Robyn, The Hives, Lykke Li, The Cardigans, The Sounds... the list goes on. Now add Teddybears Stockholm to that. Save for the menagerie of genre's they mix like pop, rock, hip-hop, electronica, reggae, punk to name a few. These guys created their music around the year I was born and they sure made some great music.

The first time I've heard of these guys was in their Cobrastyle video. I'm totally down with the rhythm and the dig digi bombi-ness of it all, but those bear heads creep me. I mean, seriously. I have a thing against clowns as well, so this isn't anything unusual. If you need to be reminded of that wild video, I posted it below.

Teddybears Stockholm's Yours To Keep is the bees' knees. There, I said it. I don't want to force the track on you, but don't prejudge the bear heads. Though it does add personality, nothing beats the good vocals from Paola and the right groove set by the trio.

A recent debut of the Stones Throw and Serato collaboration it on J Dilla's new release Donut Shop surfaced last July 28 and boy, it's something you gotta get a hold of. It features 3 unreleased Donuts tracks and 3 instrumentals that you might be familiar with from previous Q-tip work.

To grab the freebie, just sign up to Stones Throw's newsletter and you're good to go.

The Wild Beasts, after their single "We Still Got The Taste Dancin' On Our Tongues" from their fantastic 2009 full length album Two Dancers got nominated for a Mercury Music Prize, are now releasing a new 10" and it features a few remixes and a Japanese b-side titled "Through the Iron Gate," which you can preview and download below.

Another great news - Domino is offering a free download of the EP for this week only! Don't miss it! Go HERE! Buy their EP over at Domino.

Thanks to Stereogum!

Recently I posted a stream of Ratatat's track Mandy which is of course a good combo with their LP4 track Wildcat and Lex. This music video, well, let me just say it isn't short of crazy.

EAT MORE CAKE's gets more attnetion with every passing day and their debut album 'Climb The Ladder, Live the Dream' is getting an increasing fan base. The band now presents various remixes of their new single'Has To Be Done' from Lazybones, Choking Dolphin and The Domino State. These three remixes range from the terrifying (The Lazybones) to dreamy (The Domino State). The sea of beats and bass, guitars and synths will prep you for the track's story of inner turmoil.

Eat More Cake are a 4-piece band comprising songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Andrew Briggs and Matt Pearn, drummer Alex Lane and DJ Owen Charles. Their live following continues to grow after breathtaking performances at Hatfield Forum, the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Cobden Club, Camden Barfly, 93 Feet East, Hoxton Bar & Kitchen as well as many other venues in and around London. This summer sees the band take to the stage at a number of festivals including Hamswell and FIV in north-west Spain.

EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY: Magic Hours

This Austin, Texas instrumental band who has been around for more than 10 years (since 1999), Explosions In The Sky definitely proves how sheer talent and passion plays a role in the endurance and staying power in the music industry. Post-rock from the likes of Caspian and Mogwai are a good jam but the music Explosions In The Sky establishes is a rose among the thorns. Listen to this elating track from them, entitled Magic Hours.

WEEKLIES: She's Mine

"You know how when you're listening to music playing from another room? And you're singing along because it's a tune that you really love? When a door closes or a train passes so you can't hear the music anymore, but you sing along anyway... then, no matter how much time passes, when you hear the music again you're still in exact same time with it. That's what it's like."
 - On love, Music from Another Room

First in all of my Weeklies posts is this romance-tinged version. Most of the tracks are a bit old but certainly there is a track here we can relate to.

Here's a heads up to all hiphop, funk and alternative music fans - LYRICS BORN.

"One of the most critically acclaimed and best-selling independent hip-hop artists of this era, Lyrics Born is not the type to sit still. While recording his fourth solo album, completing new projects, and making decisions at Quannum Projects, he still averaged over 150 sold-out shows a year. He's a whirlwind."

That being said, there's a lot of good stuff you'd hear from this guy. His breakthrough solo debut entitled "Later That Day" was a huge indie seller ranking in one of the top 5 most critically acclaimed American hip-hop records of 2003 alongside Jay-Z's The Black Album and Outkast's Love Below/Speakerboxxx. With Everywhere At Once released, there's no denying that the rapper/producer will bring fans at an awe with his accessible sound.

HOW COULD ONE NOT LOVE A JENS LECKMAN TRACK?

After the gorgeous summer mix, "Summer in 3/4 Time", Jens Leckman gives us more reason to love his music even more:

♫ Jens Leckman - The End Of The World Is Bigger Than Love

"It was the day before the american election 2008 and I was filled with a hopelessness that only a McCain supporter could have shared with me at the time. I was in Washington DC to perform for swedish TV, sitting in the couch with a profesional smile on my face, joking with the hosts and discussing the lobster with the TV chef. I saw the clips online sometime ago, it’s amazing what an actor I can be if I really make an effort.

I lived in America back then, up in New York. At the time I felt like everything I touched was turning to shit and I had decided to put everything on one card. Subconsciously I knew I needed to hit the bottom so I could work my way up again. I needed confirmation, I needed someone to tell me it wasn’t going to work out, not this way. Yes, there was a girl involved in this. I was very much in love with her.

Some things you just go through. You don’t write about it, you don’t turn it into art because it can’t be turned into art. I didn’t write any songs that year because you can’t pour manure into an espresso machine and expect a cappucino to come out. When they announced the results and the streets filled up with people celebrating I felt happy to be part of something bigger than myself. It was a feeling that lasted me until the very last days of December 2008 when I finally sat down in my old teenage room at my parents house and I wrote this song. Then the year ended.

It’s a song of hope. When love turns it’s back on you it’s nice to know there’s a world out there that doesn’t give a shit about your problems. That forces you to keep your head held high and move on. A world that is fragile and beautiful. Maybe it can sound cold to some of you, but let me make it clear that I believe in love, I just get so wrapped up in it sometimes that I need to put it into proportion. It’s something you have to do a lot when you’re Jens Lekman."

Miami Horror - I Look To You (featuring Kimbra)

If you are one of those people who:
a.) Don't feel love for the leaked songs off Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs"
b.) Haven't heard the album at all
c.) Don't know who the hell Arcade Fire is (to which, I must reckon, a depravity)
d.) Want to stay on the safe side and didn't download the leak

...then you must catch NPR's full stream of the album. Tomorrow is D'Day for the release of "The Suburbs" and I personally am hoping the album will do well. On the top 10 list are Indie favorites Grizzly Beat, The National and dominating the chart is Vampire Weekend. NPR did all of the doubters a favor by offering everyone to have a preview of the album, and if you are having some second thoughts about buying THe Suburbs, then you better check out the site HERE.

[DIG] Beat Connection

Beat Connection is summer. No really. My memories are triggered by sound and this song does the job. Beat Connection, which essentially are lads from Seattle, Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger, create music that makes you want to wish that summer had no end. The fresh, tropical themed In The Water is free and you can preview and download their Surf Noir EP at my new favorite site Bandcamp. Below is also a link to another one of I liked, Silver Screen. Folks, their music can be downloaded free so go ahead and drop in their site for good vibes.

Electro-pop darling Neon Hitch does this winning track with Sia's melodramatic melody from Breathe Me playing in the periphery of the track and Mike Posner's lyrics. She definitely shows some range with her recent cover of Travie McCoy's Billionaire which you should check out. Not enough to entice you? You'll do a double-take then with this soulful Snoop Dogg approved cover of Drop It Like It's Hot then. Catch her at on the BMI stage at Lollapalooza, 12:30 pm Sunday, 8th of August!

*Neon Hitch isn't a pseudonym guys. It's her legit name. How cool is that?

♫ Neon Hitch - Cooler Than Me (Sia VS Mike Posner)
♫ Neon Hitch - Drop It Like It's Hot (Snoop Digg cover)

MARVELOUS - FANTABULOUS.(I rarely use this word but I feel uninhibited just now).

I've always kept my opinions on Ratatat's music brief. So by tradition, I'm going to leave you with this amazing song. Buy their LP4, here.

Have a good time viewing this loud and boisterously fun video of The Henry Clay People's "Your Famous Friends" from their album, Somewhere on the Golden Coast. The band is on tour with Silversun Pickups.

Summer is drawing to a close so better end it with a bang right? Modiba Productions, which is a music production company and record label committed to the social and economic empowerment of Africa and its Diaspora, sent this tropical theme of a podcast. Prepare that pina colada or any drink to your liking, bring friends over and have a house party with this playing and I guarantee you'd be having a bangin' time. Don't bring killjoys - unless they buy the booze. :)

Modiba - Make 'em Move. The Podcast.

Track listing:

Make em move intro
"More Life" - Jahdan Blakkamoore
"Jungle Drum remix" - Jai Paul
"Nar di man dis" - Dry Yai and Jungle Leaders
"Snoop Dogg Millionaire" - Chase + Status
"Ciranda" (Amon Remix) - Nation Beat
"Ingxwaba Ngxwaba" - Ghetto Muffin
"Bicho de luz (version para bailar)" - Frikstailers
"Mikono Kwenye Hewa (Distractions And Hidden Agendas)" - Muthoni The Drummer Queen
"Décalé Gwada" - Jessy Matador
"New Style" - Bajah + the Dry Eye Crew

RICH KID SOUND SYSTEM is more than that usual party banger you are used to. We love some no-nonsense partying but if you want to have that feel good tune and get into the groove at the same time, then Rich Kid Sound System's 'A Little Bit Of Time" is the one you should tune to. This South Florida based live band got selected on an upcoming Ford Internet campaign and with the music their making, I'm sure as hell looking forward for their big break! Looking forward to more great tunes from these guys.

♫ Rich Kid Sound System - A Little Bit Of Time

Disco/weird/80's cool and odd facial expressions make this Short Circuit-esque music video from Chromeo worth your viewing. I've been feeling Don't Turn The Lights On, and if you are too, then I recommend you buy their album here.

You'd probably be sick right now with all the Cudi posts. Well this won't be anything different save for the fact that I (partially) appreciate Kid Cudi adding a jest of pop in his music. I know he's been taking heat on this change but let's give the man a chance to spread his wings, right? Okay that might sound a bit gay but don't get me wrong, I'm not a hater - if anything I love rap despite my affinity for the less hardcore more gangsta and old school and definitely lots of collaborations. Erase Me was a bit overwhelming to the majority of the fans and so is this one. This track from Kid Cudi's album Man On The Moon (which comes out October 26) retains his sing-and-rap style and the change is apparent but I have this gut feeling that Man On The Moon has more in store for us. I hope it won't disappoint.

Download ♫ Kid Cudi - Mojo So Dope

This song was my lullaby at night since junior year in college. M83 has and always will be the band I can rely on to make really good music and release albums that timeless. Hearing this song play on random in my iTunes brought me to a dreamy state I've been essentially craving for a long time. Feels like someone just grabbed me from the monotonous evening and transported me into one of John Hughes' films, like Some Kind of Wonderful. So, I'm sharing this great piece of music to you guys. I've found that good song for my day. Have you?

M83 - Graveyard Girl

As per usual, GRUM/Graeme Shepherd is being his brilliant Scottish self. Just fresh from his successful sold-out North America tour with my favorite DJ group, the Twelves, comes the release of his video for Through The Night. The 80's flavor is there but well-suited to the modern electronic vibe his music always have. With that theme of the music video, I'm sure I'm not the only one who agrees that Grum should give soundtrack production a try.

Start by LBCK

Music video for “Start,” the new single from LBCK (Long Beach City Kids).

I've just seen this hilarious song by two guys called ALostPeople called Big Booty Bitches accompanying this Youtube sensation last 2008. Remember? If you don't, here's a reminder.

So recently Bombs Away did an electro remake of this tune. And just this past week, DJ Schmolli turned a mashup of it. I don't have to tell you how much bad words are in this song though. But NGL, it sounds like a dance floor hit!

Song mashed-up from these 4 tracks:
Bombs Away - Big Booty Bitches
LMFAO - I'm In Miami Bitch!
Busta Rhymes - I Love My Bitch
Sir Mix-A-Lot - Baby Got Back

DJ Schmolli - Big Booty Bitches In Miami
(Bombs Away vs. LMFAO vs. Busta Rhymes vs. Sir Mix-A-Lot)

The mid tempo jam served up by Usher featuring Jay-Z and Ester Dean is not to be taken lightly of. The more serious rap and rnb turn of this track makes me look forward to the vocals of the version featuring Ciara as well. Not gonna lie, I *kinda* dig some of her stuff. Some. I'm still warming up to this song but I'm already giving it a thumbs up. It feels though like its not finished, so the judgment day will come when the collab with Ciara comes out. Will it be a remix? I sure hope so. I wanna see these two grinding up in the music video. Even if a Hot Toddy won't be my choice of drink while watching it.

♫ Usher - Hot Toddy (feat.Jay-Z and Ester Dean)

I know there are a lot of times I may not be a woman of my word, but today I just want to share . There's this new 'Teenage Dream' song I've heard from Katy Perry. The song stays true to its title with Katy singing in falsetto. She croons innocently about her true love and 'Valentine' who makes her feel young again. She sounds like she's ready to take that relationship further.

This one I am certain you will love to bits. There is something about Posner and his musical competence that plain and simply appeals. And for real, with his talent he will surely go places. A few months since graduating from Duke University and beginning his full-on pursuit for his music career, by February 2010 he had released his single 'Cooler Than Me' which hardly loses momentum if not dominates the radio and charts for months. This new one from him makes this frat boy's turn from the kegger to the stage hard to ignore.

"Your songs remind me of swimming,
Which I forgot when I started to sink
Drank further away from the shore,
And deeper into the drink.

Sat on the bottom of the ocean,
A stern and stubborn rock
Cos your songs remind me of swimming,
But somehow I forgot…"

This one woman-band just made my day with this song. I listen to her cover of Beirut's 'Postcards from Italy' and am reminded by the raw emotion of her voice. This song gives me a mental image of people who, with all the craziness around, lose track of what is important. They keep themselves busy trying to make ends meet, and somehow along the way, when they look at their faces in the mirror, they see a different person. This is probably one of the sad realities of life. I'm not saying it's inevitable, but at one point of our life we go through this phase. Some get caught up in, stagnant while others shake themselves up in that rut and dare to be.

* Nothing La Roux-related in the post, sorry to disappoint. I just love that line from her song too much I had to have it for a title. Below are more stuff from Kaskade, Michelle Branch and a collab of Enrique Iglesias and Lil Wayne. I'd love to talk some more but I'm way behind my work. Gotta bounce. Until the next post. :)

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
♫ Michelle Branch - Crazy Ride
Mike Posner - Please Don't Go
♫ Enrique Iglesias - Push (feat. Lil’ Wayne)
Florence and The Machine - Swimming
Kaskade - Fire In Your New Shoes (Extended Mix) (feat. Dragonette)

[SOUNDTRACK] Tron Legacy

Daft Punk is the main man behind the soundtrack editing of Disney-produced movie Tron Legacy. Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen, Jeff Bridges and True Blood's James Frain are in the flick, and Garrett Hedlund as well. If I'm not mistaken, he was also in Troy, and played the role as Achilles' godson. Preview the soundtrack below. Shout out to Frequenzi Independenti.

This is the cover you know of.

So much for that. I've seen some statistics from the indie music ticket market on the concert sales based on ticket prices and it's not looking good for The Arcade Fire. They ranked last among a group of other indie faves like MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, The Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses and The National. But I do admire the fact that they're not robbing their fans who want to see them play live. More points. Maybe the numbers will look up later this half of the year. Vampire Weekend seem to enjoy their fandom and upping price those tickets.

Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)” is previewed from Arcade Fire’s new album The Suburbs, expected August 2 via Merge. A lot of buzz that this record has gotten out of its cage but I say do what's best and take a bite off this new track. Although this album does pale in comparison to the highly acclaimed Funeral, there are also good ones from this record like Month of May, Ready to Start and We Used to Wait, among others. Kill some time with these previously released tracks because these certainly don't disappoint. Count that these tracks come packed with a fetching album cover makes it all the worth buying. I dig.

Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

Introducing animated The Suburbs cover: Hover your mouse over this baby.

Entertainment Weekly got an interview of Green Lantern's duo Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively with Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong. They also debuted their Comic Con cover at EW and Ryan Reynolds got a few grunts regarding that computer generated costume. And seeing such a duo with enviably awesome physique is a crowd pleaser. I have this ginormous female crush on Blake Lively (those legs). But sometimes those clothes Blake dons are intended to show off rather than flaunt. Chest exposure is good but she better cover them up a little unless she wants to be considered relevant JUST BECAUSE of that. Amusing how at 0:58 Ryan is paying special attention to that.

[WEEKLIES] Let It Be ... Naked

"The Sea of Faith
Was once, too, at the full, and round earth's shore
Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furled.
But now I only hear
Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar,
Retreating, to the breath
Of the night-wind, down the vast edges drear
And naked shingles of the world."
- Dover Beach by Matthew Arnold

I've been posting this Weeklies series for almost half a year and I know you've all been lapping up all the tracks in every Weeklies post. HOWEVER, it would be 100x times better if you drop your thoughts in the comments section. A couple of words can really make a person's day! (demanding much?) Haha. On topic, this one is inspired by my friend Tzaddi's blog. Check her stuff out when you can.

Another thing why I'm posting consecutive Weeklies posts in 1 week is because next week I'll be, yes you guessed right, FLOORED WITH STUFF TO DO. College really takes it's toll on my sleeping habits, and I can't let go of this blog so I somewhere between all the stuff I've been juggling got sacked from the Dean's List. Damper, yeah. I've never been good in multi-tasking.

This Weeklies features a couple of track that have been highly palatable to my taste. Enjoy and cheers to a good weekend folks.

A new mashup is here from Mochi Beats, "Runnin In Your Arms." The tracks used are: Cutting Crew "Died in your arms", Gucci Mane "Runnin Back", Miami Horror "Illumination", Sweet Rush "They keep chasin me", and Radiohead's "Reckoner" via The Twelves version. You can download their free mixtape featuring 100 tracks mashed up, a link can be found at the side bar. Also visit their website for more stuff from them.

This one from The New Pornographers is a bit old, yeah, but good nonetheless. They did "Sweet Talk, Sweet Talk" at Letterman a while ago with Neko Case performing. Some good sensible clapping here. You can watch the video below.

I've never been a big fan of cabaret music other than those peroid-esque films I see every now and then. But this dancable yet romantic music from Amsterdam's Caro Emerald. I'm suprised only a few people know of her music, what with the nostalgic feel of her music. The modern take of Caro and her full jazz band with the infectious energy makes you want to grab the nearest person and do the swing.

This time, let's go for more de-facto Vaudeville revivalist and sublimely brilliant music from Belfast artist Duke Special aka Peter Wilson. Theatrical and colorful, his music sounds somewhat like those from Dresden Dolls' cabaret and Rufus Wainwright. His song, "Our Love Goes Deeper Than This" has bouncy and rich instrumental sounds and in "Wanda, Darling of the Jockey Club", taken from his latest release The Stage, The Book And The Silver Screen, shows off his retro side.

Excelling not only as a record producer but also getting nods for his uncanny ability to wear a suit with panache, Mark Ronson is coming back hard with Record Collection. This is a follow-up to 2007′s remarkable Version. Below is his February 2010 collaboration with Amy Winehouse, Valerie.

Check out the music video from Mark Ronson for his single 'Bang Bang Bang' (out last July 11th), featuring vocals from MNDR and rapper Q-Tip.

The xx - Hot Like Fire (Aaliyah cover)

Eerie and dreamy quality from The xx's cover of Aaliyah's pop-infused Hot Like Fire. Their resonating echoes and accompanying guitar are the two primary things comprising the cover. When you think about it, it does seem bare but I'm really feeling this one.

Check out Ariel Pink's music video for Mistaken Wedding - a bunch of cuts from a wedding(probably his relative's as it looks homemade). Then he comes in later for some down time on cam on a tux and smoking in front of the green screen with the wedding beach scenes in the back ground. Zany Jewish style from Ariel Pink.

"This video was made as a response to the G20 Summit in Toronto June, 2010.
The rest speaks for itself.
It was sent to us by a lover of our music who wants to remain anonymous.
We are very proud to share this mash-up with you.

- Broken Social Scene

Great work. This is not stealing. This is manipulating works of others and turning it to something unique and different. And in response to the theme (or what I reckon seems to be one of the major themes), I really do think there are advantages to a semi-communism form of government. If you haven't noticed, the margin between the rich and poor social classes is has sky rocketed and I don't think those demoralized moguls are planning to stop anytime soon. Capitalism can be a bitch - inequality and monopoly. Living in a materialistic society where success is defined by how much you can accumulate before you die, I find this generalized belief hard to swallow.

There are no second thoughts when it comes to Chicago duo The Hood Internet - I'm definitely a fan and blogged a lot of great tracks from them. They dropped a new mixtape, Trillwave, last 13th of July in collaboration with Mishka NYC featuring some recent songs. And considering that this is FREE, you'd be a total fool to pass this up.

To spoil your listening session a bit, this latest effort has a more low-key and relaxed jams -- a slight turn from their basement themed party anthems. The new mixtape definitely is a more appropriate combination to the recent heatwave.

"Sometimes I get the itch to go out for a drink thinking I might miss meeting the woman of my dreams, but then I realize the woman of my dreams isn’t at a bar at 12:36 on a Wednesday morning. No, the woman of my dreams is asleep in bed with her lame boyfriend she’s only now beginning to see is lame. Nice enough guy, but no passion or curiosity. It was cute when he called her babe at first but now it’s just lazy and distant sounding. The woman of my dreams just twitched in her sleep because I mentioned her. The woman of my dreams is not usually twitchy. The woman of my dreams likes Family Guy but doesn’t LOVE Family Guy. The woman of my dreams will engage in conversations that don’t necessarily cater to her in exchange for my moving quickly through the shop talk. The woman of my dreams has to be up at 7am. Maybe the woman of my dreams is at the gym, not the bar. I better get to bed."

John Mayer - Edge Of Desire (Apartment Sessions)

Welcome to a first of a series of music video collectives here in TBT*'s Video Shack. If you frequent this blog, you should know how out of the loop I am on the new videos coming out. It would be GREAT if you leave suggestions on any good video you think everyone should see by leaving a comment! I'd be totally down with your suggestion, just as long as it's worth sharing!

This week's Video Shack features Mayer Hawthorne's Your Easy Lovin' Ain't Pleasin' Nothin', Nicki Minaj, Mount Kimbie's "Would Know" and All Summer's music video from Best Coast's Bethany Constantino, Vampire Weekend's Rostamn Batmanlij and Kid Cudi.

Mayer Hawthorne - Your Easy Lovin' Ain't Pleasin' Nothin'

Mayer Hawthorne can do a lot of things with that voice and retro sound of his. Take Exhibit A, from the music video. The throwback style and dancing attractive women seems like another of his typical weekends.

Three more videos! Check it out inside.

Nicki Minaj - "Your Love"

Nicki Minaj scores gets a big score for doing a 180 degree turn from her warrior-in-training drama closing the video with the dying ending. "Your Love" samples lines from Annie Lennox's "No More 'I Love You's'," so seeing some frou frou fashion statement in highly unlikely.

Mount Kimbie - "Would Know"

Mount Kimbie have released a music video for "Would Know" and it was directed by hotly tipped filmaker Tyrone Lebon. The track is taken off their debut album, Crooks & Lovers out now via Hotflush Recordings.

Best Coast, Rostam & Kid Cudi – “All Summer”

Here it is, the hot Converse-funded collab "All Summer" track featuring the between Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino, Kid Cudi, and Rostam Batmanglij. Yeah the mugging of large heads whilst in the apartment might not be your way of spending the summer but these three know how to have fun at it.

If you are one of the many people who have heard of Robyn's acoustic version of Hang With Me, here's the official single version. The acoustic version from Body Talk Pt. 1 is a mellowed down version with a slow paced piano accompaniment for the whole length of the song. Below is the acoustic version and the official single which you'll find in Robyn's Body Talk Pt. 2.

Looks like we'll be seeing more of the Swedish fembot this 2010. Her album 'Body Talk Pt. 1' which seems to be receiving raves and positive reviews will be followed with 'Body Talk Pt. 2' by September 6th in the UK from Island/Konichiwa but the US release is yet to be confirmed.

The third and final 'Body Talk' album will be released at the end of the year (in time for Christmas). There's an idea for a good gift. As reported by Billboard, the final album will star the best cuts from the first two installments of the series as well as several brand new tracks.

Here's my favorite remix of "Dancing On My Own" from 'Body Talk Pt. 1'

Chiddy Bang "Dream Chasin"

We've all been witnesses to the talent of Chiddy Bang. Recently over at WAWS I saw this new video for the not-so-new "Dream Chasing" track. The video's theme is pretty simple but excess in music video themes don't really work well with me. Check the video out above.

Today in exclusive streams, we’ve got a new one from moody chanteuse Lissie, off her upcoming LP, Catching A Tiger. It’s called “Bully,” and it’s produced by Band of Horses bassist Bill Reynolds. If you liked what you heard on Lissie’s debut EP, Why You Runnin’, it seems likely you’ll enjoy this track, all slow burn and yearning vocals and yummy reverb. And, AND, if you really like it, you can go ahead and preorder Catching A Tiger now, before its Aug.17 release date. Lissie would no doubt be much obliged.
Give a listen, Mixers, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Stuff like that (post title) always gets me going. Haha. I always keep forgetting what form of speech I'm a sucker for but I'm sure as hell it's not malapropism. I've been short on humor this July (except maybe on that Lindsay post) -- the stress from reviews for the board exam must be getting to me. Good thing I got wind of this track from the Invigilators featuring Sonny from The Dean's List and this Bassnectar track. Although I think they should've gotten another female voice for the track, who am I to complain when Magical World sounds this good? In a few weeks I'm going to post more from Bassnectar. New music from Cut Copy! Also a live performance from Metric's Daytrotter Sessions featuring Gimme Sympathy. Earlier I posted Ellie Goulding's video for The Writer along with a few new others from other artists. Check out the Bass and Drums remix below. Major Lazer and La Roux's collaboration for Lazerproof, a Vodka and Milk remix of Two Door Cinema's What You Know and Wale's Beast are in attendance as well.

Some pun for me, since I got shot out of the list. Junior year was hell, you could still see the remnants of that wreckage on my face. Sinking your faces into this Weeklies post. Off topic - Don't forget to watch Inception - it's not a Kubrick like they all say. But I guarantee you, you leave the theater with a stunned expression and a million thoughts in your head.

It's Like Deja Vu All Over Again ZIP
