Thieves By Tuesday*

a.) Don't feel love for the leaked songs off Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs"
b.) Haven't heard the album at all
c.) Don't know who the hell Arcade Fire is (to which, I must reckon, a depravity)
d.) Want to stay on the safe side and didn't download the leak

...then you must catch NPR's full stream of the album. Tomorrow is D'Day for the release of "The Suburbs" and I personally am hoping the album will do well. On the top 10 list are Indie favorites Grizzly Beat, The National and dominating the chart is Vampire Weekend. NPR did all of the doubters a favor by offering everyone to have a preview of the album, and if you are having some second thoughts about buying THe Suburbs, then you better check out the site HERE.

So much for that. I've seen some statistics from the indie music ticket market on the concert sales based on ticket prices and it's not looking good for The Arcade Fire. They ranked last among a group of other indie faves like MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, The Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses and The National. But I do admire the fact that they're not robbing their fans who want to see them play live. More points. Maybe the numbers will look up later this half of the year. Vampire Weekend seem to enjoy their fandom and upping price those tickets.

“Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)” is previewed from Arcade Fire’s new album The Suburbs, expected August 2 via Merge. A lot of buzz that this record has gotten out of its cage but I say do what's best and take a bite off this new track. Although this album does pale in comparison to the highly acclaimed Funeral, there are also good ones from this record like Month of May, Ready to Start and We Used to Wait, among others. Kill some time with these previously released tracks because these certainly don't disappoint. Count that these tracks come packed with a fetching album cover makes it all the worth buying. I dig.

MYSTERY JETS - Dreaming of Another World

The Mystery Jets have officially released the music video for Dreaming of Another World. I've seen the video in full 3 times and I'm not getting sick of it. I know you wont either. Shot in a French mansion on the outskirts of Paris & directed by Yoann Lemoine. Visit their site for a free mp3.

As they say, in a sound, its as if they never left. I didn't like Arcade Fire's The Suburbs at first and Month of May's music sounds a bit unreconstructed. But the music grew on me, and now I really believe every person should give a track a chance once they dislike it at first listen. You may never know, it might be the song of your life. No really, I'M NOT KIDDING.
