Track rating Result: 4.7 stars

Favourite track(s) are:
Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, Come as You Are, Lithium, Something in the Way.

Genre: Grunge , Alternative pop/ rock

Although I did happen to love this song, I would prefer we don't focus on Smells Like Teen Spirit. There are a few things that irk me about this album and that happens to be one of them. It's too popular for all the wrong reasons. It's popular because of an anti-commercialism leaning.

In Bloom is a song that satirizes Nirvana's (at the time) growing fanbase and possibly launches an attack against the leader of the band Earth (as told to me by my dear cousin Kuya Jad), who was a close associate of Kurt's. If it weren't for him, Kurt wouldn't have gotten his hands on a shotgun and Nirvana would have turned into Pearl Jam by now. Honestly!

Come As You are is an obvious highlight for most people, definitely one of my favorites, and Breed is a fast rocker type of heavy metal. Hell, pretty much everything is good here... I take issues with Polly and the aforementioned Smelling Teen Spirits... but that's about it. All in all a fine record!

4. LYKKE LI - Youth Novels

Okay, this is album number 4 for all of you following and this one is one of my favorites.

I have written many times before on Swede artist Lykke Li (and I am now informed, pronounced “Lu-key Loo”) and at that time she was just finishing up her debut album “Youth Novels”. So, the web-hit “Little Bit” sounded fantastic, delicate and funky, but I had a few doubt that her album would not reach that far.

After a listen of the whole album (just last week) I was fairly convinced that “Little Bit,” although a highlight, was not the end of it, by far. What struck me at first was her courage in being immensely courageous in the use of different sounds and instruments as well as conventional ones. It’s almost a hybrid between something dainty and sweet. Tracks like “Complaint Department” have a grungy edge, in the music as well as her vocals, whereas “Little Bit” covers the delicate love-pop area.

I like the fact too that the album was also in a progression mode (or whatever should it appropriately be called). Not many artists bother themselves with this but I love that Lykke Li used this aspect to further push up the quality of her album, not only her tracks.

If you think the sweet little voice will annoy you, becoming old and boring after just a few tracks with the same style, Lykke is obviously capable of utilizing her voice in dynamic fashions. This album is a surefire catch to any music aficionado.

EXCLUSIVELY FREE: Ebooks Library*

Hey there.

I love books, and I am sure, you do too. In this page you will find some of the most interesting (but not necessarily popular!) e-books I have collected and have come across with these past few years. The books that will be featured here were gathered from different sources, mostly from my own collection or from friends (most have tags/signatures inside), close associates and generous sharers from various forums and websites. It should be emphasized that these books are not for sale, and is governed by the “fair use” rule under the copyright laws. Meaning, the free e-books you get here are strictly for your own personal and educational use. The books obtained from this site shall not under any circumstance, be sold by anyone, and the owner of this site will not be responsible for the dishonest users who knowingly violate the copyright of the authors.

The books that will be featured will be from all sorts of genre, classical, fiction, non-fiction, contemporary prose, self-help, business books and many others. From the classical and mythology novels like Odyssey to the modern works of writers like Robert Ludlum, Dan Brown, Paulo Coelho, J.K. Rowling and C.S. Lewis, to self-help writers like Dr. John Gray and Robert Kiyosaki. The choice of books that will be posted solely depends on us, but may be influenced by the requests and suggestions posted. Also, please be warned that each book is password-protected and the password will be given after requesting for it in the comments box.

Anyone is free to download the featured book/s for the week and after said period, it will be archived in our personal database, as we only have a limited storage space online. In that case, the book will only be available by request, unless by some popular demand, we decide to feature the book the second time. We will do our best to respond to each request as soon as possible, so no need to request the same book over and over again as it will only clog our email and will hamper the whole process. Requests made for the same book by the same person more than twice will be ignored, and requesting party will be banned. Also, PASSWORDS ARE REQUIRED for each downloaded e-book, so we could keep track of which books are downloaded more than the others. All you need to do is leave your request for the password at the comment box, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE. Requests for *.doc and *.txt formats of books featured will not be granted. If a book listed below is “by request only”, it means the book has a huge file size and you can make your request by sending an email to us, intexbloggersupport@gmail.com. If you are not amenable to any of these conditions, do not read any further and leave this page in peace.

The books shall be in various popular formats — either in Adobe (*.pdf), or Repligo (*.rgo) this one provides an e-book reader for different platforms, PC, mobile phones, Palm and other handheld or portable PCs (PPC). Sometimes, there will also be books in other formats, especially if for some reason, we could not convert them to PDF or Repligo, as in the case of, Mobipocket (*.prc), Lit (*.lit) and PalmReader (*.pdb).

If you plan to read the book in your PC, we recommend downloading the PDF version since it is one of the most popular viewer at present. However, if you have an S60 phone or a portable pc (PPC), we recommend you to try Repligo as it is particularly helpful when you are always on the go and would like to keep your favorite novel or important business book handy with you all the time. Since half of the books we have on archive right now is in Repligo, we strongly suggest you to try it and if you don’t like it, you can always choose to convert the book into MS Word, or you can download the PDF version here again. We have provided here in our download section Repligo viewers for different platforms, for your convenience.

Now, so much for the blah? let?s keep the ball rolling? happy reading to all.

After a the usual Sunday schedule of family crappy bonding, I gotta put the mention in for Lykke Li. I know everyone's already fallen in love and is holding out rings, but i gotta admit so have I. Her album "Youth Novels" gets put on repeat at my drain-bamaging hell of a day and makes sundays a whole lot easier. So many of the tracks are great, so i was poised at which to post, just enjoy this one...

To make a mountain of your life is just a choice.
But I never learned enough to listen to the voice.....

I adore this New York band. Such a mighty three-piece. Really distinctive individual musicians & great chemistry between them. Dream lineup. Brilliant vocals by Matthew Caws.

I'd LOVE to see them rip it up live!

Thanks to my good friend Rosan, who introduced me to this group a few years back. ^^,

LISTEN & DOWNLOAD: The Lykke Li Playlist

I’m having trouble finding out much about Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson (stage name “Lykke Li”)..
I'm reviewing it because it's good, and because it sounds like it should be indie.
I loved the sound of Dance Dance Dance and now, its time for a Breaking It Up review. I loved the whole chorus thing going on in the background. I know its still her, the syncs and bits adding drama to the song. With its child-like sing-a-long and sugary innocence hides a sad song about the end of a relationship. This is good as pop can get.
