DAMN: Watchmen Got Me Wet

Six new Watchmen character posters

Warner Bros. Pictures has distributed six new character posters for Watchmen to six different sites which you can view by clicking the images below. Included in the line-up are The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup), Ozymandias (Matthew Goode), Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley), Silk Spectre II (Malin Akerman), and Nite Owl II (Patrick Wilson). The Zack Snyder-directed adaptation opens in conventional theaters and IMAX on March 6th.

I can't wait! The one of The Comedian is my favorite. I don't know why the one of Dr. Manhattan is so small. :(

I know, you are looking for the final move trailer leak (see it inside this post). Keep your cool Twilight-er.

Thanks to the folks over at BadTaste.it here are a couple of new posters for the upcoming film adaptation of Twilight. The posters match the look of the film, with muted colors tending towards almost black and white. The fans will surely like it which are parallel to the movie's theme.

Also, I'll be putting in this post the other new Twilight poster for the movie of the 2 main characters, Kristen Stewart who plays Bella and Cedric Diggory, este, Robert Pattinson who plays Edward.

See the TRAILER and MOVIE POSTERS inside this post. Let the insanity begin.

Although I'm not a fan, I’ve had arguments with people who think this movie won’t do very well when it opens. While I won’t predict a number, I think Twilight is going to do HUGE box office numbers - you just wait and see. I love that the trailer is basically "twilight in 2 minutes" giving all the major plot points away. Seriously.

Double click these images for the original size of the posters. Thanks Screen Rant.

So, just an observation.

TY MEG CERVANTES

I think I've recently encountered a few bits and pieces regarding this certain vampire movie. Apparently it's based on the first book in a somewhat popular series that deals with young lovers and vampirism -- OK, I'm kidding. You can't work on an online blog without knowing that Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight is one of the most hotly-anticipated films of late 2008. Although the project is supported by a few demographic groups (mothers, teenagers (females) and other random groups), but the fans have been very vocal in expressing their anticipation and excitement for this vampire flick.

Twilight hits the silver screens on November 21, and each new bit of news renders the loyal fans squealing with delight. And so I'm happy to give those fans their first peek at the final poster images. I've cropped a small section up there in the top right, but for the whole dang poster you'll have to double-click the image after the cut (In other words, just click the image twice and maybe be prepared to change your desktop wallpaper. AFTER THE CUT: Twilight's NEW MOVIE SNEAK PEEK via ETonline. GO!)

Click on the poster for a mega-large version. And thanks to Summit Entertainment for hooking us up with this hot-ticket promo goodie!

This looks good. Kristen Stewart looks gorgeous, if you must ask me. Robert Pattinson, chalk-pale and lookin' wierdly handsome.

Hot or Not?
I'm all for the latter, honey. And what is up with the blood lickin'?

A lot of my friends keep on referring to her as the "bitch from the Jawbreaker movie". I abhorred her after seeing it and it was undid after I saw an epi of Charmed, McGowan playing a witch. After seeing this, I'm hoping she would just return casting spells. But Planet Terror was hilarious,..

We should have more details on the project soon from JoBlo's humanoids on-site at Comic Con, but for now here's a glimpse at Rose McGowan as fire-haired warrior babe RED SONJA.

The movie is produced (but not directed) by Robert Rodriguez, and brings CONAN creator Robert E. Howard's mythical vengeance-driven, sword-swinging, chain mail-bikini clad female fighter to life. The busty character, once made famous in the pages of Marvel Comics, has seen a healthy resurgence in recent years thanks to a top-selling comic series from Dynamite.

Looks a little Heavenly Sword-ish, but it looks kinda sexy.
But, I'm preferring this older version of Red Sonja (see below).<

Agree? Sometimes, less Photoshop can actually do good for promotion.

"We’ve got a cool one today, the premiere of the poster for the buzzed-about “Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” the music-centric, romance-tinged comedy (based on the bestselling book) that finds Michael Cera and Kat Dennings as high school seniors who join forces to hunt down an elusive secret concert in New York City. I’ve seen this one and it could very well be the new “Juno.” Catch it yourself when the film hits theaters on October 3, 2008."
All I gotta say is that this movie oughta give the book justice. It's one of my favourites. And why is it that on top of Michael Cera's head is Kat Denning's name? I really hate it when that happens. The poster does look quite plain, don't you think?  Oh and another thing, do you see a bit of Kate Winslet when you look at  Kat Denning's face? Yeah? I KNOW.
It is the sort of book that would make a brilliant cult movie if the right people were cast.

The Concept: Joker bought around a few hundred boxes of old-fashioney playing cards and removed the jokers. He then arranged the jokers on a poster with a combination of tape, blood, and careful x-acto blade cutting, proceeded to airbrush the image of Batman, then defaced that image with all the cute quotes he uses in the movie. This establishes the scene in the film where the Joker is doing hours of tedious crafting to create self-referential collages.Joker always had that artist in him.
I hope the execs or whoever is in charge of the promotions to not take their job too seriously. Heath Ledger's death is enough to make the masses curious on what all the media hooplah is about the Dark Knight. Let's not overdo it shall we?

Another Batman Poster [Why So Serious?]

pineapple-express-rogen.jpg
Looks like producer Judd Apatow is sticking with the tried and true "here's someone's head" model of poster design for Pineapple Express. Placing this side-by-side with the Knocked Up poster gives you a retrospective glance at high school, remembering the chubby, awkward kid who transformed into a complete stoner by senior year. Following this so-called progression, I can only assume the next poster will somehow imply "Seth Rogen is nearing 30 but still attending high school parties to deal drugs and attempt statutory rape". Hahahaha. I'm actually liking James Franco's face here. Looks to me like a drugged-out stoner. Me likey...!

I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that when you're dealing with a movie comprised entirely of lazy references to other movies, the poster is basically going to look like a grotesquely visual work, but it seems pretty daring to present what I'd guess is every "joke" in the movie in a single image. They've just totally ruined the gag where Indiana Jones is a midget, and the gag where the Chipmunks look like hideous rodents, and the gag where Hellboy is... present. It's sickening how the movie industry permits pointless movies such as this and expect people to actually appreciate it.
I mean, just look at the poster. Can you say, CRAP?
Click the image for a larger view. But really, don't.

Doesn't this poster look anything familiar to you? This totally reminds me of V for Vendetta, but a little more of the words. The sepia-like tone speaks a bit Sin City. What do you think?

Well, anyway, Scarlett Johansson (my ex-fave star) would star in this movie. Along with Eva Mendes, who in my opinion is totally gorgeous despite the wierdly-shaped ears of hers. And then, Samuel L. Jackson and a newcomer (?) Gabriel Macht as "The Spirit". I dunno if I'm gonna be impressed or what. "The Spirit" for a title sounds a little juvenile. Guess I'm just gonna see for myself how this movie's gonna gauge in my meter. Below are other movie teasers for the upcoming movie, The Spirit.

Gabriel Macht

as

*insert spooky sound*

THE SPIRIT

Scarlett Johansson

(as some seductress,

PROBABLY).

And (my recently)

fav person

Eva Mendes

as a thief (?)

or an accessory-eating

protagonist.

Maybe both.
